Could Germany Have Defeated The Soviet Union?

To be clear this merely an exercise of what went wrong and how they could have won, it’s not like I wanted the Nazis to win World War 2, I mean who does?

After an extensive study on the matter, through reading several historical forums with analysis from historical writers, professors, and enthusiast and came up with this conclusion, while incorporating a great deal of their own thoughts and information they have provided me.

Hitler was charismatic, that is why he was able to sway a whole country to such acts of violence, but unfortunately for them he was a bit of an idiot. As there had been numerous ways for him to have won against the Soviet Union, as a matter a fact he could have won the war if he thought tactically rather than emotionally (his hate for Jews and everyone who isn’t German). I’ll give you an example or two of what he could have done to win the war.

Made and Used More Allies

During his invasion of Russia many thought of Germany as liberators, as a good amount of countries under Soviet control hated the communists. Had Hitler utilized this, which was the plan in the first place, he could have had an additional Ten Million soldiers he could train and throw at the, at the time weakened Soviet forces. But he decided to forget about the original plan and piss the locals off, and the powerful dormant force was used against him and his Reich instead.

In addition to the forces he decided to turn down and piss off, he already had allies in the east, had he asked the Empire of Japan to attack the other side of the Soviet Union, their forces could have been stretched out too thinly that they would have eventually collapsed.

Finally there was Spain, who merely asked to have their government debts forgiven and they would become a full ally. You see, the Allied forces and Russia might have defeated Nazi Germany in battles, but it was Hitler’s pride and arrogance that caused them the war.

He Could Have Won By Being Patient

Had he just continued on with the attack on England, just as originally planned, and not immediately pick a fight at the eastern front, he would have been able to defeat the Allied forces first and then concentrate on the Russians. He ended up … Read the rest

A Great Yet Disappointing Find

Last month I got a call from a fan of the website, they offered to donate some of the photographs their grandfather took during the war. We were able to drive all the way to the guy’s location and drove even further to their grandfather’s cabin; the place looked well maintained but hasn’t been lived in for a while. We were given a box of wonderfully taken photos of the war, we started scanning them there, but there were more in the basement, so we decided to continue scanning when we get back to the hotel. Unfortunately, we all found out that the cabin had termites and a good number of the boxes were pretty much munched on already.

We searched for a local Pest Control Folsom company  online and got them to treat the whole cabin. We waited for a few days since the pest control company required the place to be off limits until they give the green light. We were able to get closer to Craig, the guy donating the photos, and hanged out for a few days. When we were finally allowed to enter the cabin, we discovered that only one of the four boxes were still good. We still found great photos, but we along with Craig were disappointed that those photos were lost.

A Photographer’s Life: Bailed Out

As a photographer, it is my passion to capture moments and sceneries; sometimes this passion goes a little bit overboard and would prompt me to go what is beyond what is usually permitted. More often than not, my offense would be trespassing, but sometimes if you got caught by an unreasonable person or you panic and did something stupid, you would end up where I once ended up, a place known as Jail.

If you come from a family with means, or maybe making money with your photography, you might be able to afford the bail. Unfortunately, at the time I was detained, I was neither. The bail was just a thousand dollars, but my camera didn’t even worth half that at the time, but through a sign, I was saved. Actually, it was more like a list of bail bond agents, the one I decided to call was Bail Bonds San Diego, who gladly helped me, for a fee that is.

Just In Case This Happens To You

The things about bail bonds is that you have to convince the bail bond agent that you can be trusted to come during your hearing, which is fairly easy to do if you are either innocent or convincing. But Before that the agent will ask the following from you:

  • Your Full Name – For the record.
  • Address – For the record
  • Jail and Case Details – The reason you were in prison, your file number, and everything else related to the case.
  • 10% of the Bail as a fee – This is how they make money, and unlike the bail, this is non-refundable.
  • Collateral – Some ask for this and Some Don’t, but it’s to make sure that you won’t skip your court date. Remember that you could lose collateral if you fail to be present during the hearing, though.

After you get all of these sorted out, you get to go home and wait for the court date to settle everything, and afterward, you are considered free if you are not guilty and sentenced to jail if not, either way, though the Bail no longer needs to be settled.

What Should a Photographer Do To Avoid this?

The first thing that a photographer should do to avoid paying for bail or a bail bond; is NOT to do anything stupid that could get you arrested.  How might … Read the rest
